Christian Education for Children

Every Sunday at 9:30 a.m., we offer three classes for children to learn the story of God's continuing love for humanity and His involvement in our day-to-day living.

Our Junior Class is for toddlers and children through second grade.  Lots of innovative lessons and personal attention bring home each lesson.

Children in grades 3-6 don't sit still long as they act-out, discuss, and relate the Bible's stories to their day-to-day lives.

Young men and women in seventh and eighth grades and high school join our pastor for Confirmation preparation classes each Sunday.  They learn what Christ's church stands for, and what it means to be a Christian, literally a "little Christ."

This winter, Scouts can earn their God and Country religious awards.  If you're a Cub Scout, Boy Scout, Venturer, Brownie, or Girl Scout and would like to learn more about your relationship with God through Jesus Christ, and the church (and no, you don't have to belong to St. Paul's to participate), please call Pastor Williamson.

Christian Education for Teens and Adults

We were called by God to be disciples, followers of Jesus' example and teachings, and not just church members.  So faith education is a lifelong process.

Each Sunday morning, we offer two classes which seek to help us connect God's Word, recorded in the Bible, with our lives today.  The PhiliChristi Class is specially geared to more mature Christians, and class members bring their considerable knowledge and life experiences to the table as they read and discuss Scripture.

The "Adult Class" meets in the Library and is a mixed-age group ranging from teens to seniors.  It's a sharing session, not a lecture-type class, and it can get pretty amazing with the different thoughts folks have about our daily Christian walk.  We deal with questions of how we use our knowledge of the Bible in our day-to-day lives.  We have some fairly different points of view and see different sides of the thought process we each bring to the class.

Thursdays at noon, a group meets with our pastor for Bible study and prayer for an hour each week.  Beginning on Feb. 18, we'll begin a unique series on the Bible called "Glimpses of the Gospel Through Art" as a way to draw us into Jesus' ongoing story.

Pastor Williamson also leads a "discussion group" every Friday at 11 a.m. at the Shenango Valley Seniors Center on North Buhl Farm Drive.  The dozen folks who participate each week discuss a Bible passage, and then pray for one another.
